What happens when burnt out MSW students get out of our 9-12:00 class an hour early? We all head off to Red Robin! I'm sure Red Robin was thrilled when 28 students show up asking for separate checks and wanting to sit together! On our way out to the car we passed the teacher of our 12:30 class, we told her that we were going to eat but we would be back in time for class...unfortunately half the class walked in 20 min after class had started! Good thing we all have a pretty good relationship with our teacher who just made fun of us for being late!

LSD Story Time

So last week in my drugs class we were doing student presentations. Each presentation was to be 20 min- AND NO MORE! My teacher sat at the front of the room with her cell phone and timed us down the the last second- She wouldn't even let us start a min or two early....She asked a group to go sit down for 2 min until their presentation started so yes....she means business! Last week I was sitting watching a couple of my friends in the class presenting on LSD and waiting for my turn to present next. Our teacher had told them they only had a few min left so they were wrapping up their slideshow. Than this popped up on the screen in huge letters...

Ya... I was a bit thrown off by seeing my face on the huge projection screen for everyone to see... probably the biggest my face has ever been! I immediately burst out laughing but it took the class quite a while to figure out what was going on- they didn't realize it was a picture of me and were quite confused at what was going on. The teacher turned strait around in her seat to look at me and asked what I was doing... hahahaha... yes....definitely a new experience!

Festival of Colors

This was my first year attending the Holi Festival of Colors. It was way fun! I loved it! It is a traditional Indian holiday to welcome spring by throwing bright colored chalk at everyone- I loved it! Each year it gets bigger and bigger. It was in front of their temple which is sweet- it doesn't look like it belongs in Utah! They had a band that sang the same song over and over again- the words were... Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama...it got a bit old but added to the overall atmosphere- it was way fun!

This picture shows how disgusting it got to be... I got pink chalk thrown directly in my face- teeth and all!! Many were smart and covered their mouths with bandanna's as you can see behind me...
Here's a picture of the temple- it looks like it doesn't belong in Utah- sweet!! There were thousands of people there- so crowded- I love being in big crowds of people united by a common goal...when you can just talk to the person next to you about complete randomness- knowing you will never see them again...love it!!

After the bomb everyone just looked pink- completely caked in chalk!!

Spring Break 2010!

This spring I had my first real spring break since high school- BYU-Idaho didn't have spring breaks, so this spring at the U was my first one (though I still had to go to my internship). I went with my sorority Beta down to St. George with Phi, though we both stayed at different condos. It was so much fun! I really needed to get away from Salt Lake, more so school and my internship!

First night we hit the pizza factory- Yum! I was impressed the waitress was able to get us all in the picture!

This picture is horrible, but one of the only ones I have with the boys-I didn't take many pictures- but thanks to facebook I have been able to get a hold of most of the ones I need! I'm not sure what I was doing in this picture- stinking my tongue out or something- plus I'm really stylin with the head lamp! We attempted to find some caves out in snow canyon- didn't work to well- it is hard to make plans with 30 people!

Angels Landing in Zions National Park

Made it to the top! I've never hiked it before! I LOVED it! It made me really miss hiking and my last summers job! I liked the parts where you had to hold on to the chains, if they weren't there it would have been terrifying, but having them there made it way cool! I can't believe that little kids climb this! Someone died on it 3 days before we climbed it- freaky!

It was a great trip! Thanks to all my awesome Beta girls and Phi guys for making it so fun! Love you!
