Return and Report

12 more days!!

Follow up… I haven’t been able to do all of my list but I have done many… I still have one more weekend right?

My “Peace Out Rexburg” party is this Thursday April 2nd at 8:00. Come when you can!! There will be food!!

Hot Springs!! It was fun- we drove down to Lava- a 2 hour drive to sit in a hot pool! Hahaha- but it was worth it!

This was actually the week before I made the list but I figured it was close enough!! We played sardines at the Benson (not the Snow or Kircum but...). It was way fun! They looked for us for over 45 min- we were hiding underneath a table in a hidden computer room. It was fun!!

California Snow Ball Fight!! It was way fun!! You get nylons and fill them up with flour then throw them at each other!! This was before the fight...

After the snowball fight!! Hahaha- it was way fun!! You can see the nylon balls of flour in our hands. Derek's leg got killed in the process. You can see the flour on the camera- luckily it came out!! It was way fun!!

This is actually an old picture- but it gets the point across! I went to Big Judds! However there is no way I could ever eat a Big Judd (as shown above). I think I was full with a 1/4 of one..

Though both this and the next one weren't on my list they were awesome!! We had a ward closing social at my Bishops cabin at Island Park. It was way fun! This is Shalyn Natalie and I on the frozen lake right next to his cabin. He had a bunch of snowmobiles we rode in the dark- it was freaky!! You couldn't tell what was a hill or a cliff! It was also pitch black so its a good thing I was following someone or I would have gotten way lost!!

I think I have watched more basket ball in the past 2 weeks than I have my whole Rexburg career!! Last night was the finals and both my roommate and my roommates Fiance were playing- it was good!! This is the sign we made for Natalie- it was funny- I stayed for the whole game and it was amazing!! It was a close one! Both Natalie and Mike did awesome!! (Mike's sign read- 'I wanna be like Mike'- I know he loved it!!

The Burg

I recently realized that I only have 1 more month till and graduate and thus, leave Rexburg forever. It is definitely a bittersweet moment. On one hand no more wind (ok, I'll be fair, a lot less wind), no more undergrad, a lot less ice, salted roads, actual restaurants, family close by...but on the other hand I will miss many things about this great dreary place, life long friends, great teachers, the social work program, the activities program, Craigo's and I could go on... It's crazy how much I have learned and grown over these past 4 years. I have......

-lived in 4 different apartment complexes
-had 5 different bedrooms
-31 roommates (thanks to the track system :o)
-taken 49 classes
-127 credits

And who knows what else!! So I thought I would go for a little ride down memory lane....the easiest way to do that is through apartments...so...here I go!

First semester at college!! Fall 2005- Colonial House-601- Mican, me, Katie and Susie- We dressed up for a Halloween...don't ask me why I decided to be a painter!! I think it was the only thing I could find at DI...

Winter 2006- Colonial 404-Gloria, Ruby, Me, Dani, Amy, Jaime- We had a wide variety of ages this semester- 18, 19, 19, 20, 21, 22- it was fun- we definitely took a lot of pictures! One of my high lights was our Murder Mystery dinner unfortunately we had more girls than guys- so we had some cross dressing- but it was fun! I of course was innocent!!

Fall 2006- Birch 105- Emily, Megan, Aubrey, MacKenzie, me, Brittini. This picture was taken at the end of the semester. They put wrapping paper on the cupboards for Christmas- in the top right hand corner of the picture you can see the pictures we put on the wall from us stuffing our faces at wingers- what better kitchen decoration?

Fall 2006-Winter 2007- Birch 106 (105.5) My next door neighbors-Dani, Meredith, Megan, Me, Danielle and Melanie (Jaime isn't in this picture). Loved these girls! We had fun playing laughing, eating, having water fights (the after marks are shown on the 2nd picture), laughing eating, playing fugitive, laughing, eating, Mafia, laughing, eating, battleship, laughing, eating, hiking...

Winter 2007- Birch 105- Megan, me, Alyse, Emily, Carissa and Melanie. They wanted pictures for the ward "menu" - who wants the normal happy perfect apartment? I think we ended up with one where I was upside down on the couch...

2007-Royal Crest Apt 212- Aubrey, Me, Angie, Melanie, Carly and Britni. The first picture was taken out at Beaver Dick during FHE. The second was for the ward relay. We all dressed up in green and ran- it was fun!
Winter 2008- Royal Crest-Apt 212- Sadly enough I don't have pictures with all of the apartment, but this is with Kat and Stephanie- the 2 that moved in- When it was still quite cold outside we went and played basket ball at the hot springs- it got pretty intense! Way fun!!

Fall 2008- Pine View 8- Natalie, Carlee, Kyndra, me, Kiersten and Shalyn. This semester we started having theme nights-Thursdays-8 at 8 with Carmel (with apples, popcorn, pretzels etc...) Pumpkin (cake, bread, etc...) Crepes... We also took up Nertz, which gets pretty crazy with 20 people playing at once!!

My last semester!! Winter 2009- The pines (old Pine View) 8 -To bad we weren't all in this picture-Shalyn, Carlee, Jordan, me - Shannell and Natalie weren't there. We continued the 8 at 8 parties- but moved them to Wednesdays. So far we've had waffles (with strawberries, peaches, ice cream, whipped cream...), The one shown above was popcorn night (Carmel, white chocolate, jello, buttered and plain) and Green in honor of St. Patties day (green carmel popcorn, jello, broccoli, green peppers, celery, zucchini bread). The parties have been fun! Before I go we are having a Peace Out Rexburg par-tay!!

Lets see....

I started this blog while bored at work last summer and never did much with it. For some weird reason I just thought it would be fun to create something new so 8 months later...I'm back!! Not quite sure what to do with it- but I guess we will see. Since no one knows about this blog I feel like i'm just talking to myself!! So.....lets see what this can do!!
