Life!

I have to admit these past few weeks haven't been my favorite!! There are so many things I am sick of and just want to move on to my next phase of life! So...being the nerdy Social Worker I am I decided to use the strengths perspective instead! So here are a few things I am grateful for- not in any particular order...

- Wanda...yes- Wanda is my car- and right now she is definitely in need of a bath- but I don't know what I would do without her! Now that I own my own car I don't know how I survived 3 years of college walking everywhere! I guess I used to be in better shape and everywhere I went was within walking distance- going to the U is definitely different!

- Harry Potter... yes nerdy I know, but I love listening to it while I get ready for the day every morning!

- My internship! Right now I am working at a drug and alcohol counseling center. I work with the teenagers and love it! It has definitely been a new experience- I have 3 individual clients, one family and co-facilitate 2 groups- one boys one girls. Wow- what a huge learning experience! Though it can be very frustrating and emotionally exhausting but I love working with them. Each day I have a new level of gratitude for my upbringing and how blessed I truly am.

- Mozzarella sticks and jalapeƱo poppers! Hahaha- oh I how I love them! They are definitely one of my weaknesses. They are so bad for you but oh so tasty!

- Education! I am so blessed to have been able to get so much schooling in. Though this is definitely a huge stress in my life I am so grateful to be able to gain knowledge and graduate in a few short months!

- The great outdoors! I truly believe that you can find beauty anywhere and everywhere you go, though true some places are prettier than others! Though I don't like the smog and fog I LOVE the way the fog sticks to the trees and makes them white! SO pretty! Especially those trees with little red berries on them... love it!

- Technology- namely my laptop and cellphone, sadly I don't know what I would do without them. I feel lost when I don't have my cell phone on me- even if no one calls or texts me.

- Books! Right now I am reading 'Sarah' which is part of the women of Genesis books- I love it! There is nothing like not being able to put a book down!

-The gospel - I can't imagine what my life would be like without it. I am so grateful for this knowledge and the impact it has on my daily life.

- My family- I am blessed to have the best family ever! (sorry to break it to you). I have an amazing relationship with everyone in my family. I am so thankful for each of them. Thanks for being such great examples to me and giving me the love and support that I need. Love you!!
